Ms. Smith has represented clients in various environmental regulatory matters including coastal construction permitting, underground storage tanks, CERCLA, RCRA, the Oil Pollution Act, air pollution permitting and permit enforcement. Ms. Smith has successfully negotiated permitting and enforcement matters involving complex issues and has appeared on behalf of clients in Florida and federal courts as well as at the Division of Administrative Hearings. She has worked with homeowners' associations providing advice on issues concerning governing documents and their enforcement. She has also assisted with copyright contracts and filings.
Ms. Smith has presented on regulatory issues for the Florida Health Care Association and Florida Assisted Living Affiliation and seminars on environmental permitting and natural resource damages assessments. She is admitted before all Florida Courts, the Northern and Southern Federal District Courts of Florida and the United States Circuit Court of the D.C. Circuit. She is a graduate of Florida State College of Law with Honors and received Book Awards in both Mediation and Conflicts of Laws. During law school she was a clerk for the judges of the Second Judicial Circuit of Florida.
